Miami Beach

Miami Beach is where Rickie worked as a police detective for fourteen years. He finally had enough of Captain Warnicke to leave with no pension to ply the crowded private investigative waters of South Florida. That was okay because he knew Miami is a buffet for activities near and on the other side of the law. His wife, Roxy, also a former MBPD detective, forms the other half of Ciprian Investigations. Boomer Falcone, Rickie's best friend in the world, left the MBPD for another law enforcement job--that of Chief of Police in the sleepy inland town of Clewiston.

Many of Rickie's clients live and play on Miami Beach. Some get in trouble there. Some end up dead there. He misses the control, the power he felt as a police officer when it was time to rock-and-roll. But he doesn't miss the bullshit.
