Plantation
Plantation is the Miami suburb wher Rickie and Roxy Ciprian own a 1950's ranch-style house. Originally, Rickie bought the house with his first wife, Amanda. He continued living there after Amanda told Rickie she couldn't take the heat, humidity, and sand fleas and moved back to Minneapolis. Jimmy Budzinski used to live next door but the crash of a passenger airplane across the road in a stand of loblolly pine sent a derelict engine through his roof. Rickie bought the place, tore down the house, and built a big garage to house his two Studebakers--a 1962 GT Hawk and a 1964 Lark R3 Daytona. Oh, and he let's Roxy park her truck in the garage, too.
Rickie's neighborhood has changed demographics over the years. When he moved in almost twenty years earlier, he'd been one of the few non-Anglos on the street. Now, his neighbors are from Mexico, Honduras, and points farther south.
